Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II: Luxury Redefined

Rolls‑Royce has taken its flagship SUV to the next level with the introduction of the Cullinan Series II a subtle but highly refined evolution that blends tradition with modernity. While it retains the core identity of the original Cullinan, this update brings in fresh design cues, more tech, and new levels of customization. The Series II feels like a natural next chapter rather than a complete reinvention a hallmark of luxury done right.

From the outside, the Series II stands out thanks to its slimmer headlights with vertical LED daytime running lights and a newly refreshed front bumper. The iconic Pantheon grille has also been updated: it’s now illuminated, creating a glowing centerpiece that catches the eye, especially at night. Complementing the look are oversized 23-inch wheels, giving the SUV a more commanding presence. These design changes give the Cullinan Series II a stately yet contemporary feel, combining power and elegance in equal measure.

Step inside, and the transformation becomes even more apparent. The dashboard now features a full-width glass-panel fascia  a seamless blend of digital display and physical craftsmanship. Within this, a new “Spirit of Ecstasy Clock Cabinet” houses the iconic statuette beneath an analogue clock, bathed in gentle, ambient light. The interior materials are elevated too: there's a new bamboo-fibre textile called Duality Twill and leather seats with up to 107,000 micro-perforations, a technique inspired by swirling clouds and crafted with painstaking precision.

Technologically, the Cullinan Series II brings in Rolls‑Royce’s advanced SPIRIT operating system, first seen on its Spectre model. The digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen are customizable, and clients can pick the color of the dials to match their interior or exterior theme. In the rear, passengers get dedicated screens with streaming capabilities, Wi‑Fi, and even support for Bluetooth headphones. The audio system is a work of art in itself 18 bespoke speakers powered by a 1,400-watt amplifier, with the car’s own aluminum structure used as resonance chambers for deep sound.

Under the hood, things remain familiar: a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 powers the Series II, delivering the effortless yet powerful drive that’s expected from Rolls‑Royce. Despite the facelift, the mechanical package is largely unchanged, focusing instead on refinement, comfort, and the signature “Magic Carpet Ride” that makes even rugged terrain feel smooth.

In markets like India, the Cullinan Series II starts at a very high price around ₹10.50 crore for the standard version, and about ₹12.25 crore for the Black Badge variant, which offers a more performance-focused character. The introduction of this facelifted SUV marks an important step for Rolls‑Royce in appealing to a younger, more diverse clientele while continuing to uphold its tradition of exclusivity and bespoke craftsmanship.
