BMW has unveiled the 2025 iX facelift, marking a significant upgrade in its electric SUV lineup. Combining enhanced performance, extended range, and cutting-edge technology, the new iX sets a high benchmark for luxury EVs. Manufactured at BMW’s Dingolfing plant in Germany, the facelifted iX is now in production following its global debut earlier this year.
The 2025 iX comes in three variants: iX 45, iX 60, and the high-performance iX M70. The iX 45 features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 397 horsepower and accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. The iX 60 offers 544 horsepower with a 0-100 km/h time of 4.6 seconds, while the iX M70 delivers 659 horsepower, reaching 100 km/h in under 4 seconds. Battery upgrades extend ranges to 321–374 miles for the iX 45, up to 426 miles for the iX 60, and approximately 366 miles for the iX M70, thanks to improved battery design and chemistry.
The updated iX features a refreshed exterior, including a reimagined front grille, larger air intakes, optional illuminated elements, a new rear bumper, and stylish wheels. Inside, BMW retains its minimalist aesthetic, now complemented by a 3-spoke steering wheel and dual-screen setup. Luxury meets technology with options for M Sport packages that add sporty accents to the cabin.
The 2025 iX comes with BMW’s latest iDrive system, featuring an augmented reality heads-up display projected on the windshield. This AR display provides real-time navigation, essential driving info, and safety prompts directly in the driver’s line of sight, enhancing convenience and driving confidence.
The facelifted iX will be available in various global markets. In India, the iX xDrive60 replaces the earlier xDrive50, offering a claimed range of up to 701 km—a significant improvement over the previous model. BMW enthusiasts and EV lovers alike are eagerly awaiting the arrival of this high-tech luxury SUV.
