The 2021 RSV4 Is Finally Here! May Launch In the Coming Weeks

The 2021 RSV4 has started reaching select dealerships across India. This comes a week after the RS 660 was spotted at Aprilia’s Baramati plant, suggesting that the official launch of Aprilia’s litre-class bike may just be around the corner.

For 2021, Aprilia’s flagship superbike has received a pretty significant overhaul -- a larger engine, new electronics, revised styling, a new chassis, and ergonomic updates.

Its 1,077cc V4 engine has grown too. With 1099cc of displacement and a new exhaust system, Aprilia is able to extract the same 217PS despite meeting stricter Euro 5 emission norms. All of that firepower is kept in check with updated electronics like the new Magneti Marelli ECU with improved processing power and six riding modes.

Improvements extend to the bike’s hardware as well. The new under-braced swingarm is inspired by the unit used on the RS-GP race bike. Revisions have been made to the fuel tank and seat as well to make the bike more spacious and the ergonomics more relaxed.

And then, there’s the most obvious change -- the styling. The RSV4 looks sleeker, cleaner, and sportier than before, thanks to Aprilia's new design language. You also get LED lighting, including cornering lights so that you can see clearly at night.

Overseas, Aprilia's expecting you to pay $18,999 for the standard bike and $25,999 for the Factory. In India, we expect the bike to sit between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 28 lakh.
